The mission of this Church is to spread the Good News of God's love through ministry and service to those in need who live in our community, our nation, and throughout the world. We do this in a variety of ways such as sharing our financial resources, sharing our energy by such activities as raising funds to send members on mission trips and sharing our time by participating in a variety of mission directed projects. We learn about missions from our Presbytery and have also enhanced our own education about missions through our quarterly "Morning for Missions".

MUSIC & CHOIR MINISTRY
The Choir of First Presbyterian Church is made up of about 20 volunteer singers, many of whom studied music in college. The purpose of the Choir is to assist in leading the Worship Service through hymn singing, anthems, introits and responses.

The Choir meets each week (except in summer months) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Choir Room of the Church. The Choir has a large and varied repertoire of sacred music. They enjoy work and fellowship with each other. The Music Ministry of First Presbyterian Church follows the Lectionary and seeks to use anthems and service music in keeping the theme of the Christian Year.

Membership in the Choir is open to all people of college age and older who are willing to commit to a Wednesday evening choir rehearsal and singing the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service on Sunday and other special occasions. If you are interested in becoming a member of the FPC Choir, please contact the Church office.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

We have also taken several mission trips down east to help with Hurricane rebuilding activities. Check our calendar of events for upcoming trips.
